electrons regularly

Electric motors convert mechanical energy into electronic, using AC or DC electricity. AC and DC electric motors are built differently and have different properties. To understand the difference between AC and DC electric motors, power itself must be understood. Electric power refers to the movement of electrons in a conductor, like a thread. The terms AC and DC refer to the direction of the electrons along the conductor.

In an AC motor the electrons along an AC and a DC motor electrons flow along a stream. The current into direct current electric motors means that the electrons are then continuous current, while AC motors, the directions of the electrons regularly so that they flow alternately back and forth.

Electricity and magnetism are closely related and DC electricity was first discovered by Thomas Edison, by placing a magnetic field near a wire and observing the flow of electrons in a wire DC as they were repelled and attracted by the north and south poles of the magnetic field. AC was discovered by the investigator Tekla Nikolas using a rotating magnet in a thread.

AC electric motors consist of two parts, the outer stator produces a rotating magnetic field and the inner rotor, which receives a pair of rotating field. AC motors are two kinds, depending on the rotor. One type is the induction motor, using an induced current produces a magnetic field on the rotor to produce and can be a bit slower or faster than the supply frequency of the work. The other type of electric motors, AC synchronous motor that is not based on an induced current, and can run at exactly the speed delivery frequency.

DC motors are composed of six elements, a rotor, the collector, the ashes, brush, a magnetic field and a DC power supply. DC motors are available in two main categories, brushed and brushless. Brushed DC motors offer high reliability and easy operation of the engine speed. The initial cost of brushed DC motors is low, with most involved in the maintenance of brushes and replace the springs, the price increase. Brushless DC motors use an external electronic switch synchronized with the position of the rotors. Brushless DC motors are typically used when precise control of motor speed is required.
